Seriously, though, this is some stupid sh*t. These things had been up for two weeks in 10 different cities. Only in Boston did anyone freak out over an AD FOR A CARTOON.

I got the job, at least on a trial basis. I don't see any reason I wouldn't be able to do the stuff, though, so I'm sure I'm in to stay as long as I care to. It's doing designs for quilts. Potential new job-ness! No, not quitting at the school, but my instructor spoke to a lady today who needs someone to lay out quilts and make instructional diagrams about how the quilts are put together for the workers in China. I didn't get a single piece into the DSVC Student Show. It's a national event hosted by the Dallas Society for Visual Communications. Paid $150 awhile back (before the financial crunch) to have unlimited entries and go to the conference. I entered six things, one of which consisted of three pieces, and... nothing. Grr.
